Biography
Background
A graduate of University of North Carolina (UNC) Chapel Hill, Andy holds a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. It was a sincere desire to help families succeed financially and a natural affinity for people that led Andy to the position he holds now at Financial Architects. “I began my career as a financial advisor,” explains Andy in describing his value. “I saw firsthand through my parents the importance of having a sound financial strategy and saving money.”
Philosophy
“Helping clients create financial independence through the use of strategic financial tools is how I approach each client’s unique needs,” adds Andy. Wealth transfer through the use of life insurance and asset accumulation applying a consistent savings model are two of the resources Andy brings to the table. “Many people have a desire to leave behind a legacy, but are unsure how to do this.” Andy believes that educating clients on how to use life insurance is one mechanism for providing this legacy whether for family, children or charities.
“My strength is my ability to creatively derive solutions to client problems without straining budgets, without confusing clients who may as a result choose to do nothing.” He takes pride in his ability to relate well to people and demonstrate sincere understanding and caring, including communicating complex information clearly and effectively. “My belief is that every client should make important financial decisions with careful consideration and support from their financial services professional,” says Andy in describing his “do-it-right-the-first-time approach” to helping clients make informed choices.
His ideal client can come from many walks of life, but the common denominator is always a serious interest and commitment to creating financial independence. Clients can include small business owners, successful mid-career professionals and soon-to-be retirees contemplating their options.
